BMHS Baseball Topped by Flagstaff

Their first meeting with Flagstaff was not a fun one for the Bradshaw Mountain baseball team, as they took the 11-1 loss Tuesday. In Thursday’s rematch, the Bears were determined to have a different outcome. After going up 3-1 after the first inning, the Eagles roared back in the top of the third with five runs. In the bottom of the frame, Bradshaw notched three runs to tie the score 6-6. Flag, however, kept putting up more runs, while their pitching held down the Bears’ offense the rest of the way as the Eagles came away 14-6 winners.

Ty Young had two home runs and six RBIs for Bradshaw Mountain. Drew Strader and Dylan Lockwood both had two hits and two runs scored.

The Bears have a busy week next week. On Monday, they are in Cottonwood to take on Mingus. Tuesday, the Bears are home to battle Coconino, then next Thursday Bradshaw travels to Flagstaff for another go-around with Coco.
