BMHS Girls Tennis Tames Coconino

Twenty-four hours after dispatching Goldwater, the Bradshaw Mountain girls tennis team was back on the court, this time hosting Coconino. The Lady Bears showed no signs of fatigue as they romped over the Lady Panthers 7-2 Thursday.

At number three singles, Rylei Haese dominated her first set 6-0, then battled to a 7-6 victory in the second set. Savannah DeBord won her first set 6-2, then had a tight battle in set two, but won that one 7-6. Brielle Bennion engaged in a dogfight at number one singles, dropping the first set 6-4, winning the second set 6-4, then dropping set three 10-6. Sophia Gonzalez got the clean sweep at number six singles with scores of 6-0 and 6-0.

Bradshaw Mountain’s record now stands at 6-4 on the season. They have their third match in as many days today when they travel to Fairfax.
