A 35-year-old Prescott man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his 73-year-old roommate, a Vietnam veteran. Judge Debra Phelan sentenced Adam Leslie Tucker to natural life for premeditated first-degree murder, meaning he will never be eligible for parole.
The incident occurred on December 11th, 2024, when Tucker called 911 and told dispatchers he had killed someone. Investigators say Tucker admitted he had been thinking about killing his roommate for some time and refused to provide life-saving aid while first responders were on their way. Police found the victim dead inside a downtown Prescott veterans housing facility.
Tucker later admitted to strangling the victim as he slept. He claimed his roommate was a pedophile, but police say those claims were false.
