BMHS Baseball Rallies to Beat Mingus

They were on Mingus’ home field, and the Marauders used it to their full advantage. The Mingus baseball team was in full control through the first five innings, staking out a 6-1 lead over Bradshaw Mountain Monday. The Bears did tack on a run in the sixth inning, but in the seventh, the Marauders needed just three more outs to seal the deal. That’s when the Bears scored, and scored again, and again, and again, and again. They exploded for seven runs, then shut out Mingus in the bottom of the frame to get the 9-6 come-from-behind win.

Ty Young had a home run and three RBIs for Bradshaw. Dylan Lockwood had two RBIs and two runs scored. He was also the winning pitcher. Nitesh Patel drove in a run and scored two runs.

Bradshaw Mountain is 8-13 on the season and has won five of their last seven games. The Bears are back in action today when they host Coconino.
