Street Closures Due to Whiskey Off-Road in Prescott

If you’re heading into downtown Prescott this week — plan ahead. The Whiskey Off-Road mountain bike race is bringing significant road closures to the area starting Thursday night into this weekend.

The core closure runs from Friday morning through Sunday evening — with Montezuma Street from Gurley to Carleton and Goodwin from Cortez to Granite shut down for the race’s start, finish, and expo area. A detour along Highway 89 will be marked at Alarcon Street.

Friday afternoon also brings a criterium race through downtown — closing portions of Union, Alarcon, Marina, and Goodwin streets from 3 p.m. until around 8 p.m. Races kick off at 5:15.

Additional streets — including Granite, Summit, and Park Avenue — will see intermittent closures throughout the weekend as riders move in and out of the course. Law enforcement will be managing those barricades.
