Lane restrictions are coming to I-17 near the Sedona turnoff.
ADOT officials say beginning Sunday, southbound I-17 will be reduced to one lane around the clock near Highway 179. This is due to a bridge improvement project expected to last through late summer.
Crews will remove and replace the bridge deck overlay, repair concrete, build new approach slabs, and update guardrails. Drivers are urged to slow down on the downhill approach and watch for signs in the work zone. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 miles per hour.
ADOT urges motorists to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to reach their destination.
