The first set of post-season games for spring sports is set. Two local teams are in action today. The Embry-Riddle softball team enter the GSAC championship tournament as the number four seed, and will face last year’s conference champions, Arizona Christian. The Lady Eagles are 28-20 on the season and the Lady Firestorm is 36-11. The two squads faced off last Thursday and Friday, with A-C-U taking three of the four games.
On the court, the Prescott girls tennis team is in Phoenix to take on Arcadia in the opening round of the 4A Conference state tournament. The Lady Badgers are the number 12 seed with a 12-3 record, while the Lady Titans are the number five seed with a 12-2 record.
Tomorrow, the Prescott boys tennis team kicks off the 4A Conference tournament. The Badgers, 10-4 on the season and the number 14 seed, are at number three Eastmark, who are 12-0. During the regular season, Prescott lost to Eastmark 5-4.
