Every team wants to go into the post-season strong. But for the Prescott softball team, they are going in super strong. In their regular season finale Monday, the Lady Badgers were in Avondale to face Westview. Prescott just hammered the Lady Knights all game long, and when the dust finally settled, the final score on the board read 23-0.
The freshmen phenoms, Amilya Zahn and Kaylin Pinarelli, both went 5-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored, while another first-year phenom, Oliva Butler, also drove in four runs. Belle Mazon had three RBIs. Lilly James had two RBIs and four runs scored. Rose Martinez and Mariah Smolniker both scored three runs. Madison Ballou was the winning pitcher, tossing a one-hitter and striking out seven.
Prescott ends the regular season with a 16-10 record. They will compete in the state play-in round Wednesday.
