The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management is planning two pile burns Thursday for Rockin’ River Ranch in Camp Verde and Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood.
Department spokeswoman Tiffany Davila says this is an annual operation to get rid of dead wood and debris cleared from the parks by State Parks and Trails workers:
Davila says both burns are expected to take a few hours, and neither is expected to impact park visitors.
