Road work is moving forward on the Glassford Hill Road widening project in Prescott Valley.
Crews have completed the first phase of asphalt paving for new northbound and southbound lanes between Long Look Drive and Spouse Drive. Officials say work will continue this week to prepare the area for final paving.
In addition, construction of a concrete median is now underway, while crews continue installing curb and gutter, sidewalks, drainage systems, and retaining walls between Bear Path and Santa Fe Loop Road. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday.
Access to businesses, schools, and neighborhoods will be maintained, but drivers should expect delays, heavy equipment, and changing traffic patterns. Pedestrians may also see temporary sidewalk closures. Officials urge everyone to stay alert, follow posted signs, and consider alternate routes when possible.
