The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is getting ready for the annual Click It or Ticket campaign. In partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, deputies will step up enforcement from May 18th through May 31st.
YCSO officials say the focus will be on seat belt and child safety seat violations, with a zero-tolerance approach. That means drivers can expect strict citations for non-compliance. Authorities stress that buckling up is one of the simplest ways to prevent serious injury or death in a crash. They also emphasize the importance of properly restraining children before every trip.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says the goal is full compliance and fewer traffic-related fatalities across the county this summer. Residents are urged to make safety a priority every time they get behind the wheel.
