The A2 Milk Company has voluntarily recalled three batches of its A2 Platinum Premium USA label infant formula over concerns about possible contamination with the toxin cereulide. Officials with Yavapai County Community Health Services say the recall affects 31.7-ounce tins of milk-based powder formula for infants up to 12 months old. The product was sold nationwide through the company website and on Amazon.
Symptoms can include nausea and vomiting, with infants facing a higher risk of dehydration and other complications.
No illnesses have been confirmed, but consumers are urged not to use the affected product. Customers should dispose of the formula or return it for a refund and contact a health care provider if their infant shows symptoms.
