It’s the big battle on the green, and Embry-Riddle is in the thick of it. The NAIA Women’s Golf National Tournament begins today at the Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Lady Eagles go into the contest as the back-to-back GSAC champions, and the number 11-ranked team in the nation. They are paired up in the first round with number one-ranked Dalton State from Georgia and last year’s national champion, British Columbia.
Also involved in the tournament are Keiser University from Florida, the number two-ranked team and last year’s national runners-up, and the Savannah College of Art and Design, who are ranked number three in the nation and were the national champs back in 2019. Embry-Riddle, meanwhile, has three national runner-up finishes in its history; 2008, 2011, and 2017.
The NAIA National Tournament runs through Friday.
