Fire Breaks Out at Mt. Valley Park

A fire at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley is under investigation by the Prescott Valley Police Department and Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority. Officials with the Prescott Valley Police Department say the fire occurred Sunday night in a drainage culvert, adding the fire burned through plastic pipes, resulting in heavy smoke.

No injuries occurred, and the full damage caused by the fire is being assessed, including checking the structural integrity of the park’s stormwater system. Residents are asked to avoid the south side of the park’s parking lot near Mountain Valley Splash while crews are at work.
