A Prescott Valley man has been found guilty on multiple charges related to an impaired driving case involving a child passenger.
A Yavapai County jury convicted 45-year-old Robert Casimer Luft of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated DUI with a passenger under 15, and child abuse. The case stems from an August 2024 traffic stop near Highway 69 and Agua Fria Ranch Road in Dewey-Humboldt. A Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputy reported seeing Luft’s vehicle swerving before making the stop. Investigators say a 12-year-old passenger was in the car, and Luft was found with methamphetamine in his pocket. Test results also showed methamphetamine in his system.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 30th in Yavapai County Superior Court.
