I-17 Guardrail and Pavement Work

Overnight lane restrictions are in place on I-17 between Sunset Point and Highway 69 to accommodate a $10 million pavement rehabilitation project. The interstate is reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings.

ADOT officials say the Sunset Point Rest Area ramps and crossroads will also face periodic closures. Message boards will alert drivers when those closures are scheduled.

The work includes removing and replacing existing pavement and guardrail. Motorists are urged to slow down, be prepared to stop, and use extra caution around construction crews and equipment. No end date for the project has been announced.
