Another successful year of Prescott High School sports is in the books. So how successful was it?
For the 2025-2026 scholastic sports year, four Prescott teams made it to the Final Four of state: girls basketball, flag football, boys volleyball, and badminton. Seven teams won region or section titles: the four previously mentioned teams, along with boys soccer and boys and girls golf.
The Badgers also had two individual champions, with track and field’s Eli Allen in the boys shot put and Libby Hlavacek in the girls pole vault, along with a few state runners-up: badminton’s Abbie Daniels in singles, Claire Long and Annabelle Courtney in doubles, and Gianna May in girls wrestling.
In total, 546 Prescott students participated in sports — nearly 40 percent of the student population. Of those, 59 were designated scholar-athletes, meaning they played two sports and maintained a GPA of at least 3.8. Thirty-four Badgers were three-sport athletes.
