National Trails Day is this Saturday, and Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation is inviting residents to celebrate with a free guided hike in the Prescott National Forest.
The event will take place Saturday, June 6, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Highlands Center for Natural History. Participants will enjoy a guided morning hike through the forest, followed by a stop at Lynx Creek to cool off.
After the hike, attendees can take the 2026 National Trails Day pledge, pick up a gift from event partners, and learn more about environmental stewardship and responsible outdoor recreation.
Organizers say the event is designed to connect people with local trails while promoting conservation and outdoor education.
National Trails Day partners include the Highlands Center for Natural History, American Hiking Society, Yavapai Trails Association, Arizona State Parks, and Leave No Trace.
