They are cramming a lot of hoop time into the month of June. The Prescott girls basketball team has a lot of practices and scrimmages on the docket. This includes the Summer Motivation Classic at Hamilton High School tomorrow, followed by the Lady Eagles Invitational in Flagstaff next Saturday. Then on June 20th, Prescott is in Mesa for the big Section 7 Tournament. The Lady Badgers have also been playing in the Thunderbird Summer League and have gone 3-1 so far.
Prescott goes into the summer under a new head coach in Penny Fossman. They are also learning to play without two of the most prolific scorers in program history in Bella Abt and Addie Prisciandaro, both of whom have graduated. Prescott still returns several quality players from last season’s squad that made it to the Final Four of state, including Lilly James, Cate Jones, Bentley Crockett, Kylee Murdock, and Bella Roskopf.
