Crews are moving into the final round of asphalt paving in the first phase of the Glassford Hill Road project, from just north of Long Look Drive to just south of Spouse Drive. Once paving is complete, roadway striping will follow.
Meanwhile, work will continue along Glassford Hill Road between Bear Path and Santa Fe Loop Road, including curb, gutter, and sidewalk placement, along with drainage pipes, structures, culvert installation, and retaining wall construction.
Town officials say one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open throughout construction, and businesses, schools, and residential communities will stay accessible.
Motorists should expect travel delays, construction equipment in the roadway, and traffic control devices throughout the corridor. Periodic sidewalk and pedestrian closures may also be necessary.
Drivers are asked to follow posted signage, use caution in the work zone, and consider an alternate route if possible.
