Officials with Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District report crews were at the scene of a brush fire yesterday. The brush fire was located at mile marker 14 of highway 169 and interstate 17, and was estimated to be approximately 2 acres.
Crews were able to contain and put out the fire, and fire officials report the scene was turned over to the United States forest service to conduct mop up operations, and to monitor for any remaining hot spots.
