ERAU Wrestler Copley Named CCC Male Athlete of the Year

His list of accomplishments for the 2025-26 season keeps getting bigger. Kenny Copley of the Embry-Riddle wrestling team was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Male Athlete of the Year. The native of Sugar City, Idaho, was crowned the national champion at heavyweight at the NAIA National Championship meet. Prior to that, he was the champion at the CCC Championship Tournament and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. Copley also placed third at the Reno Tournament of Champions, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the U.S., and finished his season with a 32-4 record and the third All-American honor of his Eagle career. As a junior, Copley will be back for Embry-Riddle next season.

While Copley was named the CCC Male Athlete of the Year, the conference’s Female Athlete of the Year was Lizzy Grandle of the Eastern Oregon University track and field team. She was the NAIA national champion in the heptathlon.
