One former Yavapai College athlete is heading to Pocatello, while a current Prescott High School athlete plans to become a Roughrider.
Talon Bennett is going to the Division I level as she has signed with the Idaho State women’s soccer team. In her two years with Yavapai, Bennett, who hails from Tempe, made 172 saves. She was named the ACCAC Keeper of the Year in her freshman season. In her sophomore season, Bennett posted a 1.93 goals-against average.
Meanwhile, Prescott’s Nick Martin announced his commitment to the Yavapai College baseball team. This past season as a junior, Martin hit .374 for the Badgers with 21 RBIs, 33 runs scored, and a .491 on-base percentage. He was also named to the All-Grand Canyon Region Second Team.
