Several local track and field athletes put in excellent performances in Cottonwood Friday at the Mingus Invitational. Prescott had several first place finishes; Violet Williams in the girls 100 and 200 meter dashes; Wylie Monnett in the 400 meter dash; Kenzie Blanchard in the 300 hurdles; Libby Hlavacek in the high jump; Rylee Hobson in the long jump and javelin; Anna Brown in the pole vault; Annalie Goggin in the shot put, and the girls 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams, who broke school records; for the Prescott boys, winners were KJ Greenfield in the long jump, Luke Mason in the javelin, and Eli Allen in the shot put.
For Chino Valley, winners for the girls were Carlee Murphy in the 3,200 meter run and Danielle Graham in the high jump; first place for the boys went to Tony Hacke in the 800 meter run and 1,600 meter run, and Quenton Metz in the 3,200 meter run.
Bradshaw Mountain had two winners for the girls; Giselle Serrano in the 100 hurdles, and Lillie Ipson in the high jump.
