Ex-PHS Football Player Nominated for Big Award

Jake Hilton’s first year of college football continues to be a memorable one. The former Prescott High School receiver has been nominated as the Wisconsin-River Falls Male Newcomer of the Year. In his freshman season, Hilton amassed 375 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. That helped give the Falcons a 7-3 record.

Three other Wisconsin-River Falls athletes are also vying for Male Newcomer of the Year. Basketball’s Zac Johnson, an All-Conference First Team selection; hockey’s Jonny Meiers, an All-Conference Honorable Mention; and track and field’s Jacob Balcome, who competed in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Hilton was a two-time All-Grand Canyon Region First Team selection during his career at Prescott.
