The Bradshaw Mountain boys tennis team knew they were in for a tough time to begin the Division Two state tournament. The number 13 ranked Bears had to travel to Chandler to face number four Arizona College Prep, who entered Wednesday’s contest with a 12-1 record. The day belonged completely to the Knights as they swept the opening round of state 5-0.
Four of the five matches ended in 6-0 and 6-0 victories for Arizona College Prep. Shaun Stouder dropped his match 6-0 and 6-1.
Bradshaw Mountain concluded the 2024 season with a record of 11-4. The Bears will be represented at the state doubles tournament. A.J. Mraz and Nathan Kleinman qualified for the event. State doubles begins Friday at the Mesa Tennis Center and wraps up April 29th at the Paseo Racquet Club in Glendale.
