Don’t be surprised if you see black and white vans with equipment racks on their roofs driving around Prescott. The vehicles are from Roadway Asset Services and are performing pavement evaluation and inventory for the city of Prescott.
The RAS vans use cameras and laser arrays to gather data on the city’s road network. This will help city staff with maintenance and rehabilitation efforts of Prescott’s streets and roads.
The RAS vans will operate with the normal flow of traffic and will not require any road closures or traffic control devices. The vans will be driving around Prescott over the next several weeks.
