There were fewer crashes, deaths, and injuries on Yavapai County roads in 2023. According to the Arizona Crash Stats report from ADOT, there were 3,883 traffic accidents last year in Yavapai, compared to 3,930 in 2022. Those accidents resulted in 1,735 injuries, down from 1,804 injuries the previous year. Forty-eight people were killed in Yavapai County traffic accidents last year, compared to 58 in 2022.
Many of these accidents occurred in Prescott and Prescott Valley. Prescott had 672 traffic crashes and Prescott Valley had 537 crashes last year, with five fatalities and 557 injuries.
