Summer may be drawing to a close, but the hot weather remains. The National Weather Service reports much of Yavapai County will be under an excessive heat warning from Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening. Temperatures in the lower elevations are expected to range between 105 and 110 degrees. The Tri-City area could see temperatures in the mid-90s.
Everyone is urged to drink plenty of water and limit outdoor activities to the early morning and early evening hours to avoid the hottest parts of the day. You should also check on elderly family members and neighbors to make sure they are not affected by the heat.
