PFD Chief Durre Says Ties With CAFMA Still Strong

In the wake of the International Association of Firefighters censure of Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority Chief Scott Freitag, Prescott Fire Chief Holger Durre released a statement on the matter. It reads, “The Prescott Fire Department maintains strong relationships with the IAFF and CAFMA to support our mission of providing services to our residents and visitors. Due to our close proximity, Prescott Fire and CAFMA have established automatic aid agreements and have a longstanding history of cooperation aimed at safeguarding our community. This collaboration results in cost savings for both organizations.

“We sincerely hope for a quick and amicable resolution to this matter. In the interim, we are confident that automatic aid agreements with CAFMA and our collaborative efforts will continue to protect our community as usual.”

The IAFF censured Freitag for what it says is CAFMA’s failure to implement cancer prevention methods in its facilities.
