Hazy Skies in Yavapai County From Wildfires

Tri-City area residents did not see clear skies Wednesday, but it was not due to a new fire in our region.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff posted a satellite image of Arizona on its Facebook page showing more than half the state covered in smoke at the mid-levels of the atmosphere. The smoke is from three major wildfires in Southern California. The smoke they are emitting has drifted over parts of Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

There are also some local fires producing lower level smoke.
