The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office hosted the sixth annual Women in Law Enforcement Luncheon Wednesday honoring the women who serve our Yavapai County communities with distinction and honor.
During the event, six awards were given out to people nominated by their agency and voted on by a committee of law enforcement personnel. The list of awards and the recipients are below. Congratulations to all the awardees and nominees.
Dispatcher of the Year Award: Bonnie Newton, Prescott PD
Leading the Way Award: Amanda Caswell, Prescott Valley PD
Rising Star Award: Detective Jasmine Cardenas, Prescott PD
Unsung Hero Award: Caleigh Hill, Prescott PD
Above and Beyond Award: Beya Thayer, Executive Director Yavapai Justice and Mental Health Coalition YCSO
Exceptional Courage Award: McKenna Smith, Detention Deputy YCSO
