BMHS Football Wins Homecoming Game, CVHS & Mayer Fall

The Bradshaw Mountain football team was determined not to falter in its homecoming game. The Bears put up 24 unanswered points on Apache Junction to begin Friday’s game. Bradshaw tacked on a few more points in the second half and got the 38-15 win. Mike Sanford had two rushing touchdowns for the Bears. Kaleb Dekens had a rushing touchdown and an interception. Kylin Jackson had a rushing touchdown. Dreyven Gilbert recovered two fumbles, and Brayden Munday had an interception. After an 0-2 start to the season, Bradshaw Mountain is now 3-2.

Elsewhere on the gridiron Friday, it was a rough night for Chino Valley as they fell to Payson 46-6. Ben Sibole threw a touchdown pass to Jeremiah Duplechain. The Cougars are now 2-3 on the season. Mayer lost to Joseph City 32-18. The Wildcats are now 0-6 on the season.
