The Embry-Riddle volleyball team got off to a strong start in Saturday’s contest with Arizona Christian, beating them 25-17 in set one. The Lady Eagles then dominated the second set by a score of 25-10. The Lady Firestorm made a game of it in the third set, but Riddle held them off for a 25-20 win to get the 3-0 sweep.
Katie Rolle recorded 28 assists and eight kills. Kelly Hansen notched eleven kills. Emma Barber posted eight kills and eight digs. Lily Figgins registered eight digs and four aces, and Hiei Loui made eight digs.
The win puts Embry-Riddle’s overall record at the .500 mark at 8-8. They are also 2-2 in G-SAC play. The Lady Eagles are home this Friday when they host Park University, and are home again this Saturday versus Benedictine-Mesa.
