Drought Gets Worse For Yavapai County

The drought is worsening in Yavapai County. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, the southern and western parts of the county are in either severe drought or moderate drought. The rest of Yavapai is abnormally dry.

As for the rest of Arizona, much of northern Arizona is abnormally dry. The western and central areas of the state are in either severe drought or moderate drought.

Because of the current drought conditions, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is extreme. Everyone is urged to be careful with anything that can produce a flame or a spark to prevent a wildfire from breaking out.
