Possible Increase in City Fees

The City of Prescott has given notice to its residents that the City Council will consider and possibly adopt new and increased fees and charges on the citywide fee schedule.

Recreation Services is proposing increased rates for parking fees, facility use rentals, and special events applications.

The Prescott Regional Airport is proposing an airport use license fee and adding commercial and non-commercial differential rates to the tie-down, hangar, and storage rental fees.

The Prescott Public Library is proposing increasing rates for room rentals.

Community Development, City Clerk, and Public Works are increasing their fees per the Consumer Price Index.

The Prescott Fire Department is proposing to do a catch-up CPI (Customer Price Index) adjustment for its plan review, inspection, and permit fees as they have not been increased since 2016.

And lastly, the Police Department is proposing to increase the price of public record requests for a copy of law enforcement video recordings.

The increased fee changes will be discussed at the City Council meeting on May 27th. If the Council approves and adopts the proposed changes, they will take effect July 1st.
