The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a wanted sex offender from Oregon in Ash Fork. Last week, authorities were alerted to the presence of fifty-two-year-old Loren Christopher Tarabochia — a Level Three sex offender with a nationwide warrant.
YCSO deputies quickly began coordinating with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, and Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon. Investigators learned Tarabochia was camping in the area, though his exact location was initially unknown.
Within two days, a deputy located his vehicle in a local business parking lot in Ash Fork. Tarabochia was taken into custody without incident last Wednesday afternoon.
Officials credit local knowledge and inter-agency teamwork for the speedy arrest, ensuring Tarabochia will face justice back in Oregon.
