Personnel from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority are helping to battle the Greer Fire in Apache County. The agency contributed a Type 6 engine crew and a task force leader to the firefighting efforts.
The Greer Fire broke out on Tuesday and has burned more than 7,000 acres. Some communities near the wildfire had to be evacuated. More than 400 fire personnel are assigned to the Greer Fire.
