They handed out a lot of tickets and made a couple of arrests. Chino Valley Police, along with the Tri-City Task Force, conducted a targeted speed enforcement detail last Wednesday. The four-hour operation ran from 2 to 6 p.m. and included officers from Prescott, Prescott Valley, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
In total, 59 vehicles were stopped. Officers issued 32 speeding citations, three criminal citations, and 21 others for various violations. One driver was cited for not wearing a seat belt. There was also one DUI arrest and one additional felony arrest.
Officials say the operation was part of ongoing efforts to reduce dangerous driving and increase road safety across the Tri-City area.
