Shortened Work Week on I-17

It’s a shortened week of work on I-17 in Yavapai County.

Due to the Fourth of July weekend, no work or lane restrictions are planned on the interstate between New River Road and Sunset Point Thursday through Sunday. Today through Wednesday, however, that stretch of I-17 will be narrowed to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and lasting until either 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. This is needed to accommodate drainage sealant application, survey work, and the removal of temporary concrete barriers.

Anyone traveling on this stretch of the interstate should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment. This is part of the I-17 Improvement Project, which should be completed later this year.
