Local Horseshoe Court Could be Named for Cal Cordes

The horseshoe courts at Watson Lake Park could bear the name of a local legend. The City of Prescott is looking over a request to name the courts after long-time Prescott High School coach and teacher Cal Cordes.

His son, Kelly, says:

Cal Cordes passed away in January of this year at the age of 98. He is a part of Prescott High School’s Hall of Fame. The presentation on the renaming of the horseshoe courts was made at Tuesday’s Prescott City Council study session.
