Prescott National Forest officials have lifted the closure in the Doce Pit. The area was re-opened July 25th following the completion of a forest thinning project aimed to reduce the risk of a wildfire.
Although Doce Pit is now open, Stage One fire restrictions remain in effect across the entire Prescott National Forest. This includes a ban on recreational shooting on all national forest lands.
