Overnight lane restrictions are in place this week on I-17 through Yavapai County. The interstate between New River Road and Sunset Point will be reduced to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and lasting until either 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. through Thursday. No closures or work will take place Friday through next Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
The restrictions are needed to accommodate striping, survey work, and equipment removal. In addition, the on and off ramps at Bumble Bee Road will be closed Tuesday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Anyone traveling along this part of the interstate should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment. This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed later this year.
