The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors has named Phil Bourdon as the new county manager. The announcement came following a special executive session Monday.
Bourdon’s contract begins October 20th. Board Chairwoman Mary Mallory said she looks forward to working with Bourdon and anticipates a “great 2026.” She added that he’ll have a strong team around him to help move the county forward.
Bourdon is coming out of retirement to take the job. He began working for Yavapai County in 1996 and rose to the positions of Public Works Director and County Administrator before retiring.
