A former Prescott football player has a shot at earning a national championship ring.
Jake Hilton and the Wisconsin–River Falls football team will face North Central in the NCAA Division III national championship game this Sunday at Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The Falcons head into the matchup with a 13–1 record.
Hilton has played a big role in that success, recording 624 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season. He has really heated up in the postseason. Over his last four games, Hilton has totaled 288 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
River Falls quarterback Kaleb Blaha was named to the Division III All-American Team and is a Gagliardi Trophy finalist for National Player of the Year.
The Falcons’ opponent on Sunday, Illinois-based North Central College, is undefeated at 14–0 and has won three national titles since 2019, including last season.
