Break time is over for the Prescott girls basketball team. After half-a-month off from competition, they jump back into action today at their own tournament, the Lady Badger Winter Classic.
Fourteen teams will take part in the tournament, including Bradshaw Mountain. Prescott coach Jami Johnson tells The News the Winter Classic will provide her squad something they’ve been lacking in the first half of the season—tough competition:
Prescott also has Grand Canyon and Cibola on the schedule. Bradshaw Mountain’s opponents are Tucson, Centennial, Mountain Ridge, and Grand Canyon. The Lady Badger Winter Classic runs through Saturday.
