YCSO & PVPD Team Up on Drug Busts

Since the beginning of the new year, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and the Prescott Valley Police Department have teamed up to target crime hotspots in the area. These operations have resulted in several significant arrests.

Then on January 2nd, deputies were back in Castle Canyon Mesa for a welfare check. They found a woman unconscious in her home, with drugs and drug paraphernalia scattered throughout. A ten-month-old baby was also in the home. The mother was arrested for child abuse and drug possession.

On January 4th, a traffic stop on Manzanita Trail turned up 18 grams of fentanyl and a digital scale in the vehicle. All three occupants, who are from the Phoenix area, were arrested on drug charges.
