The Embry-Riddle golf teams are back in action, and they went to the other side of the country to begin the spring portion of their schedule. Both the men’s and women’s squads were in Georgia for the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational at the Jekyll Island Golf Course. When play ended Tuesday, the Lady Eagles came away with a strong showing, nailing down a fifth-place finish.
Bella Mantini, the reigning GSAC champion, was the invite’s runner-up with a two-day score of 146. Olivia Zamarripa came in 22nd place with a total score of 154. Lila Becker placed 34th with a 159.
As for the Riddle men, they had a ninth-place finish. Tyler Tamayori and Prescott alum Jonathan Tso tied for 22nd place with a score of 225 in three rounds of play. Robert Brackett finished 35th with a score of 228.
