It’s a good thing the temperature is on the rise this week, because Thursday is opening day for our local high school tennis teams. Prescott has a doubleheader at home to begin the 2026 season. They take on Tempe, with the girls starting play at 1 p.m. and the boys at 3:30 p.m. Last season, the Badgers went 13–3, while the Lady Badgers are coming off a 12–4 mark for the 2025 season.
The Bradshaw Mountain boys will start their 2026 campaign at home when they take on Mesquite. The Bears are looking to improve from a 4–8 record last season. The Bradshaw girls, meanwhile, head down to Mesquite for their season opener. The Lady Bears went 6–7 last year. The Bradshaw Mountain girls have their first home match on March 3rd when they host Cactus.
