Ex-Local Basketball Players in the Post-Season

Some basketball players with ties to the Tri-City area will be taking part in the college basketball postseason. Prescott grad Uriah Tenette and his New Mexico squad will take part in the NIT. The Lobos face Sam Houston in the first round Wednesday. Tenette is averaging 10.4 points per game in his freshman season, along with 85 rebounds, 87 assists, and 46 steals.

Bradshaw Mountain alum Mason Hunt will join Pima College in the junior college national tournament. They play Davidson-Davie today. Hunt, an All-ACCAC First Team selection, is averaging just over 17 points per game, along with 127 rebounds, 66 assists, 53 steals, and 24 blocks.

Meanwhile, Nadir Myers’ time in the postseason is over. The former Yavapai College player made it to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament with Keiser University. The Seahawks lost to a GSAC team, Hope International, 79–76 last Saturday. Myers averaged 13 points per game this season and made the All-Sun Conference Second Team.
